Life by the Sea
I am a sucker for anything beach and ocean related, and this tiny town lives and breathes the sea. We slowly started to discover all the nooks and crannies of Itacaré, the myriad of beaches near and far, and some fun and positive locals who were pleased to share their lifestyle with us. Our days were filled with barefoot hikes to hidden beaches, surf, coconuts galore, dancing, wild fruits, sunsets and slack lining. The joie de vivre of Itacaré was slowly but surely permeating my core. Our new friends, although far from being financially wealthy were abundantly rich with an appreciation for life, nature and everything that should matter in this world. I felt as if someone had truly inserted me into this utopian society at the ends of the earth, and I didn’t want to ever leave.
